Mentor Program

Junior and Senior High youth may participate in a program that pairs them with an adult within our congregation for one year with a renewable commitment. These pairs meet monthly doing various activities chosen by the pair. Twice a year there is a group activity.

The purpose of the program is two-fold. First, we seek to develop a relationship with an adult for additional support to the family throughout the adolescent years. Secondly, we encourage youth to connect with the extended family of the church. Research is suggesting that one of the key factors which keeps a young adult participating in church is whether or not they had at least one significant relationship with an older member as a youth.
