Vacation Bible School at DRE

Vacation Bible School is a big deal at Deep Run East. We have no higher priority than teaching children about Jesus’ love for them and VBS at DRE reflects that. Adults plan their work responsibilities so they are available to help with this program because we remember what VBS meant to us when we were children. Families plan their summers so their children won’t miss this fun week, usually the third week of June. VBS runs for five straight mornings with a special Thursday evening show case of the week’s events to share with parents and families. Usually there are about 135 children attending with many from the wider community.

There are three great groups to be a part of:

• Preschool (ages 4-5; must be 4 by June 1st)
• Kindergarten through 5th grades
• Junior High (Grades 6-8)
